Tina Howle is the founder and owner of DAO Consulting, LLC. She has been an educator for the past 32 years. She began her career as a middle school English teacher. She left the classroom after 9 years to become a full-time mentor to 17 brand new middle school English teachers. This started her love of mentoring, coaching and building capacity. Tina went on to build and manage several beginning teacher, instructional coaching, and leadership development programs. Most recently, she was a Director of Professional Learning.
Tina is the co-director of Thinking Collaborative. She has been involved in the Thinking Collaborative community since 2003. She is a mentor in both Cognitive Coaching℠ and Adaptive Schools℠ and has developed numerous trainers over the years. Tina is also a certified trainer for Fierce Conversations, Fierce Feedback and Fierce Influence.
She has built the capacity of many educators with her coaching work. She has worked with many school divisions, school boards, parents, teachers, administrators, and educators around the world.
Tina is a master facilitator and has facilitated for parents, teachers, administrators, superintendents, and school boards. She is also an experienced coach who has provided job and life coaching to a variety of stakeholders throughout the years.
Tina graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in education. She earned her Master of Arts degree in English Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She earned her Administration and Supervision K-12 endorsement from the University of Virginia.
When Tina isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their 7 adult children, traveling, and reading.
